TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HIRE OF UNVEILING CURTAINS LTD CURTAIN SYSTEMS

  1. Full payment is required to reserve the system. The hire period begins on delivery and ends on check in of product once returned.

  2. Please check the system on the day of delivery to ensure that everything has arrived and advise us of any shortages on delivery day so that we have time to make up any shortages. Any shortages reported after the day of delivery may not be rectified in time for your event.

  3. Delivery/collection – is by courier any time between 08:00 and 18:00 within 24 hours of the agreed date. The courier cannot specify a time.

    1. Delivery – within 24 hours of receipt, please ensure that you have received the number of parcels you are expecting and that you are able to erect the system.

    2. Collection – ensure the system and curtains are completely packed away as originally received. The courier will collect between 08:00 and 18:00 on the agreed date. The courier cannot specify a time.

  4. Failed delivery/collection attempt – if the courier arrives and is unable to deliver/collect for any reason, you will incur a charge of £95 +vat which covers the cost of the missed delivery/collection plus costs of rearranging.

  5. We will send the return labels in advance of the scheduled return date. You must have a way to print these and attach them correctly to the system. If the courier has to provide labels on collection we will be charged and will pass on this charge of £20 +vat to you.

  6. Whilst we always do our very best to make sure that we honour our commitment to specified delivery and collection, we do partner with reputable third-party suppliers which may occasionally fail to deliver or collect on the exact time and date agreed.

  7. Once payment has been received a refund will not be given, as we will turn away other potential hires for this period. Hire charges apply for the full agreed period regardless of whether the equipment is used.

  8. Periods of hire are for up to 7 days which includes the date of dispatch to the date of collection. Increased hire is charged at £45 +vat per day. This is applicable if you choose to extend the hire (depending on availability) or if there is a missed collection.

  9. The customer shall keep equipment safe and secure, no alter of modify it, not sub-hire it, ensure it is used only for its intended unveiling purposes. If you return any of the curtain system damaged, you are obliged to indemnify Unveiling Curtains Ltd the cost of the system. Please package the returnable items well.

  10.  The hirer accepts responsibility for the hired goods and their security until they are returned to Unveiling Curtains Ltd. On receipt of the returned hired goods, we reserve the right to contact you up to 7 days after receipt and check in to advise of any costs for damage/missing items.

  11. The hirer agrees that if the curtain system is lost, stolen, or not returned then they will pay for the hired goods on a full replacement basis.  This liability is without prejudice to the rights under contract of Unveiling Curtains Ltd.

  12. We will be in touch within 14 days of receiving the systems back if there are any items missing or damaged with an invoice. You may wish to video/photograph the packing process.

  13. We always attempt to deliver these with at least 1 day’s grace between delivery and your event, it is your responsibility on receipt of the any items you check that everything is there.
